Wolfgang Puck is one of the names most associated with "California style cuisine." Austrian by birth, he trained as an apprentice in France before coming to America and settling in Southern California where he found fame as a chef to the stars. He is the official chef for the Academy Awards and has restaurants all over the country (heard of Spago?) including quick-serve style outlets in department stores and airports.
