Eggnog recipe

It might seem odd that a cold drink is popular in the winter, but eggnog, spiked with rum or brandy, is a festive drink for the holidays. Starting in October it can be purchased commercially in stores, but you can also make the milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg combo from scratch. If you find you have too much of it leftover, it can be used in cakes and pancakes, even French toast. There are low fat versions and flavored versions and liquor is always optional.
