If making a cake seems like a bother to you, get ready for dump cakes. A dump cake does not involve sifting dry ingredients or whipping up egg whites, it just involves "dumping" everything into one cake pan. There isn’t even any mixing to do! There are many different types and flavors or dump cake, but most include canned fruit or pie filling and a package of cake mix. Other additions can include nuts, butter, and coconut. Layering the ingredients, rather than mixing them is key to optimal texture of the cake.
