Cranberry sauce recipe

What’s sweet and red and sure to spread cheer at the holidays? Cranberry sauce! High in vitamin C and scarlet in color, cranberries grow in bogs primarily on the East Coast and in the Pacific Northwest. Cranberry sauce can be purchased in cans but recipes for cranberry sauce are easily found on packages of the fresh and frozen berries. Cook the berries on the stovetop with sugar and orange juice or zest if desired. Cranberry sauce is great with turkey, on sandwiches, and even drizzled over vanilla ice cream.
