Chicken Pot Pie

Nothing says comfort like chicken pot pie. There’s evidence that this one-dish meal was made in England as far back as the Middle Ages, but its appeal easily translates to the today’s tastes. Ready-made frozen options are popular, but chicken pot pie is easier to make from scratch than you might think. Basically, it’s a chicken stew with chicken, carrots, celery, onions, and sometimes peas or mushrooms topped with a crust and baked. The crust can be almost any kind of dough.a pie crust, puff pastry (available in the freezer section), or biscuit dough, or even phyllo dough.
