Biscotti means twice baked, in Italian. It is the common Italian name for cookies, though in the US it refers to the Italian style of cookie that is baked in a loaf and then slice into strips and baked again. Crunchy and hard, these cookies are perfect for dunking in coffee, cocoa or a sweet dessert wine.
