Appetizers

Call them appetizers, hors d’oeuvres, starters, finger food, first courses, nibbles, or even bites, the idea is the same, to whet your appetite and excite your palate. These days how you serve appetizers is just as important as what you serve. Using edible cups made of cucumber, paper cones, tiny espresso cups, or even Chinese soupspoons are all stylish ways to present treats and teasers. Figure on anywhere from three to six appetizers per person at a dinner party and about six to eight appetizers per person per hour for cocktail parties.
