Martini cocktail recipe

The Martini may traditionally hail from 2-1/2 ounces of gin and 1/2 ounces of dry vermouth shaken and served “up” with a green olive, it has evolved into a term used to loosely describe any concoction shaken and strained into a martini glass. Still, there’s a great appreciation for the traditional libation, as well as a number of bartenders who claim to have perfected it. Variations that don’t stray too far from the classic include vodka renditions, a “dirty” variety (with an added splash of olive brine).
