Gravy

Every year the debate continues. Which is tastier, the turkey or the gravy? Gravy is that sauce that makes a dish into something succulent; it’s made from the juices of the meat being cooked and usually thickened with some kind of starch like flour. Good gravy can be served on meat, vegetables, and, our favorite, mashed potatoes. For vegetarian gravy make an onion-based sauce. Ways to dress up your gravy include the addition of cream, brandy, a pinch of instant coffee, fresh herbs, mushrooms, or a splash of wine.
