Chinese New Year food

Gung hay fat choy! That’s a Chinese New Year greeting. The holiday takes place over 15 days, so there is plenty of time for feasting. A banquet is the traditional way to celebrate the holiday with family and friends, but you can include symbolic foods in your own menu planning too. Here are some good choices: Eggs for fertility, egg rolls for wealth, fish served whole for prosperity, Chinese garlic chives for everlasting, a long life, noodles for long life, and oranges for wealth.
