Fearless, bright colors, out-of-this world fashion choices and anime are all things that make me think of Japanese culture. I always wish I could have the guts to put myself together like that. Backstage at the Jason Wu show proved no different. (it may have given me a little more inspiration!). The hair was eclectic, crimped extensions strewn everywhere from on the tables to models alike. Hair Stylist Kevin Ryan of RsessionTools was hard at work, flipping buns, double-ponying straight hair, bobby pins disappearing like magic. His words on the style: Simple, clean, quirky. Straightforward enough for you?

Revlon makeup artist, Gucci Westman, was inspired by designer Jason Wus own inspiration. Not only were his clothes (the prints, the colors and the textures) her go-to for the theme behind todays show, but the designers trip to Japan made everything come alive.

Ive been inspired by trips to Japan many times so I can relate. He was saying, I want it to be like a graphic Japanese kid. I immediately thought eyeliner, a square shape, because the Japanese really love their eyeliner and I love how they dress. Theyre so brave and theyre sense of dress is just so inspiring. I was really excited, especially because his clothes are amazing.

Products such as Revlon Matte Eye Shadow, a Rosy Glow Cream Blush and 3D Extreme Mascara were used
The Look Can Be Yours: Gucci swears that its not very difficult. By using creamy textures and eyeliners, along with a shade in the corner, (she was using “Venetian Blue”) the look will really pop and become playful and animated.
