I know I squawk on and on about Cake, but their products are so amazing, I dont know how to shut up about it. In fact, when my husband and I were in Montreal end of May for our holiday, I made a special pilgramage to The Bay department store so that I could check out their Cake Beauty display. For your info, Cake is a Canadian company, so I figured Id get the fullest peek at the collection whilst on its home turf. Piggybacking off their amazing, delectable Milk Made Hand and Cuticle Buffer, which I reviewed not too long ago, is their Milk Made Velveteen Hand Creme. The same marshmallow-y/vanilla-y scent, which just the slightest hint (to my nose) of strawberry. The hand cream is thick and rich, and infused with shea and mango butters. Please, folks, if you have not tried Cake Beauty products, do yourself a favor and buy some today. You will be transported into heaven. (Well, not really, but in your head you will go to a very special place. Really, I promise.) This is the second product to have made my Products That Make Life Worth Living category. Kudos! P.S. I promise I am not being paid by Cake Beauty to write these glowing reviews. Really, theyre that great.

Happy Thursday! Im sure youve been working your little tail off this week. I dont advocate slacking off on the job, but everyone deserves a little breather now and then. So I decided to take mine and check out whats going on at Benefit Cosmetics. They have a new line out called Love Your Look, and I personally love this line. The concept is a makeup line that matches your lifestyle. So you can choose from three different color families depending on your preference: light neutral, medium neutral or dark neutral. You know me, Im all about looking like you didnt try. This line gives you the tools to look positively effortless. And as with the rest of Benefits offerings, expect fun packaging, quirky names and amazing performance. The Love Your Look line includes Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner that is blendable, crease-proof and smudge-proof: Silky Finish Lipstick provides sheer coverage that is buildable: Sheer Cream Blusher is a blendable blush that dries to a powder finish for a totally natural look: Im impressed, and am definitely planning to check the products out further. Has anyone else tried them, and have anything to say?

When Ive had a long day, I love taking a nice, long bath to relax. Thank goodness for Elemis in these situations. Ive been using the Nourishing Milk Bath which is absolutely fantastic. It features a milk protein base rich in nourishing vitamins, amino acids and minerals. It also contains plant collagen from Oat Extract and Japanese Camellia Oil to soften skin. The scent is completely subtle, and smells like baby powder. After a bath in this stuff, I always feel a little less crazed. (What can I say? Im an East Coaster. Theres gotta be a little crazy in me. Ha!) Also a great product is the Elemis Sensitive Cleansing Wash. It includes Thyme, German Chamomile and Ladys Mantle which contain antibacterial and soothing properties. The product doesnt suds up too much, which is probably a good thing for delicate skin types. Again, another lovely gentle scent. Bath perfection!
